Mood and Memory Care's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a practice that we believe in and choose for our own family members.

Clinical Neuropsychologist and Director Dr. Taher Zandi, Ph.D. is a State University of New York Distinguished Service Professor

of Psychology at SUNY Plattsburgh. He is the founder and previous Director of the Northeastern New York Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center and the Center for Neurobehavioral Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh. 
Dr. Zandi received his Ph.D. in 1982 from the University of Oklahoma and his Post-Doctoral in Behavioral Neurology at Emory University in Atlanta, where he was a visiting Associate Professor of Neurology. Later, he completed a research fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
Dr. Zandi has published and presented more than 250 articles. During his tenure at SUNY Plattsburgh, he managed to bring to the campus approximately $25 million in grants and contracts. Dr. Zandi is an active member of the New York State Health Department Advisory Group on the issues of Geriatric Mental Health and Dementia Disorders. He also advises the NY State Dementia task group in research and preventive measures.
